oh my gosh. i am the most excited i have been since july.

spring break jason and i are going to go to oregon to a wildlife safari where....

i can ride an elephant!
have an elephant paint me a picture!
feed a lion!
drive through 600 acres of land where we will see lions, tigers, and bears!
but most importantly ride an elephant!!!!

(for those who do not know that is my most biggest dream ever!)'

mariners close to making blockbuster deal?

this is pulled from a Seattle Times article written by Geoff Baker. the quotes are from GM Bill Bavasi. I hope they make the deal in question for orioles starter Erik Bedard. that would be sweet.

"We're at the point now where we have to do our best to make those moves for a top-of-the-rotation guy, so we can slot the rest of the rotation where it should be," he said. "For us right now, the most important thing is the top-of-the-rotation starting pitcher. Not just a No. 2, 3 or 4 guy. A No. 1 guy."

Bavasi admitted he's shocked the market has taken this long to play out without a deal. Any deal will almost certainly involve Seattle trading young outfielder Adam Jones, but Bavasi — while again not naming anyone directly — knows a top starter will cost talented prospects that other teams have been reluctant to part with this winter.

"We're not one of those clubs," he said, adding that his best offer has been made and likely trumps any competing ones. "We're prepared to move ... as I'm sitting here today, I think we will [get a deal done]. I think there's a good chance of that."

you probably dont care, but i was clicking around at aol music and found one of my favorite thrice songs. so im posting the video. i love the guitaring by teppei teranishi in this song. in the album version it is more prominant and haunting, but the song is still sweet.

oscar nominations

wow. its rare to open up the oscar nominations page and see that the top two movies in nominations are two of my favorite movies of the year. there will be blood and no country for old men racked up nominations with 8 each. that makes me happy. i dont really have any complaints about the nominations either. go here for a complete list, or cameron will probably have the list along with his thoughts within a couple days.

we have decided to encourage people to come up with good 26 items white elephant gift ideas by adding a prize.... after the exchange everyone will vote for the best item and that person will win a prize (most likely baked by me that day unless we think of a better prize.)
come anytime seven or later for the party
we will have dinner from 7-730 ish and then later we will serve a snack of chips and salsa and tater tots and there will be a tasty caked (baked by me.)

tv shows you should watch

this is only in order of how i think of them. which is in my most recent obsessions pretty much.

1. dexter - it is rare to find a show in which you root for a serial killer. dexter morgan is a blood spatter expert for the miami police department, he moonlights as a serial killer who brings murderers who get away with their crimes to justice. it is very well acted. Michael C. Hall is awesome in it (he was in Six Feet Under.)

2. how i met your mother - neil patrick harris. need i say more?

3. psych - a guy with a photographic memory pretends to by psychic. he starts a psychic detective agency with his best friend. hilarity ensues.

4. weeds - this show is very well written and wonderfully acted. mary louise parker does an excellent job as a widow who sells weed to maintain her lifestyle. kevin neelan is hilarious.

5. chuck - take 1 part sweet spy action, 1 part funny comedy, 1 part nerd, shake vigorously and you get chuck.

6. burn notice - another spy show, but with a little less comedy and a little more mcgyver style cia super smartness. plus bruce campbell.
