Update.

1.) This week if Grover were to come early he would have a chance at survival... hopefully Grover will stay put a little longer though.

2.) We finished the dresser for our baby room. Now we have a dresser, six outfits, and one bottle. I would say we are prepared. :)

3.) We just bought a six pack of tickets to Mariner games this summer! We have four tickets and only three games scheduled with other people, which means.... if you want to go to a game with us let us know!

4.) I love Cadbury eggs.

5.) Grover also likes them and is kicking me right now for not eating one.

The end.

Part two:

Reasons I think Grover is a boy:

1.) Jason's Grandma only had heartburn at night when she was prego with a boy, I only have heartburn at night.

2.) Jason's mom had a dream it was a boy.

3.) Grover would look sooo cute in the Mariners hoodie I want.

4.) Bethany says I'm carrying high and not low like she did it must be a boy.

5.) We have no problem picking out boy names but girl name is tricky.

Reasons I think Grover is a girl:

1.) Then I would be twins with Megan.

The end again.

Vacation

We went to Hawaii on vacation this week! It was good times except for the rain that came for a little while each day. The first day we got there at like three and went straight to the beach... it was Sunny! and I took my first prego belly shot since being prego. (Yay Grover's first picture). It was a holiday so it was crazy busy at the beach and we didn't stay too long.

A shot of Diamond Head from Waikiki... Later in the week we hiked this like champs. After wandering around for a while we were totally classy and at Chili's for dinner...we had sliders. yummmmy.
Day Two: we headed up to the Dole Plantation to do the pineapple maze and then over to the North Shore where we got the most amazing shaved ice EVER. I have pictures but it wont let me up load them so stay tuned.
Day Three: We headed to Pearl Harbor to see the Arizona, Bowfin, Missouri, and Aviation museum. It was one of our favorite places of the whole trip and we ended up spending almost five hours there.

That is the Bowfin in the background...it was super neat to go on a sub.

This is the Arizona underwater.

Day four: We went to Diamond Head but it was closed so we used the first sunny morning as our only chance to swim in the ocean. We spent about three hours playing in the water. At one point Jason got punched in the face by a wave...it was the funniest thing of the whole trip. I also got a goofy looking sunburn even though I was wearing sunblock...think just the tops of my hands, right next to my arm pits, and my nose. After playing at the beach we went to see some fishies.
We started the day with these delicious doughnut type things...they were like being at the fair.

Jason found a tree with ropes to swing on...only the ropes were growing from the tree.

For dinner that night we went to a buffet with roast beef and other yummy foods...then I ate five desserts and Grover kicked me for that.

Day Five: We got up early and went to Diamond Head before leaving the airport. It was fun and luckily not too busy until we were finishing. Just after finishing I went into the bathroom and Jason heard some girl walk out and say to her husband "I just saw some women that was pregnant about to do this, that is crazy" and he was proud of me. :)

After doing the hike we went to this hamburger place called Hamburgers on the Edge. It was the best hamburger of my life.
And that was our trip. :)
p.s. Yay Junior is a Mariner again!

kids are funny.

First... I think Grover must be sideways in my belly because my left side of my belly is bigger than my right side of my belly. At this rate soon I wont see my left food but will see my right food just fine.

I told the kids on Friday and Monday that I was prego... here are some funny things:

-I put a picture of the ultrasound on the smartboard and a boy said "ugh thats NASTY" and walked away.

-a girl asked if I would come back to work next year and a boy responded "yes when she has a baby she can work still but she can't pick ANYTHING up" he offred to pick up pencils for me.

-one girl told me she can already see my little girls face (uhh creepy)

-one boy told me good thing I was having a baby because he would have thought I was getting fat.

-He then told me I was "getting round" but told his teacher "I get around" either way I do not like him this week.

-They all want to know what I'm going to name it so I told them they can make suggestions... I'm interested to see what they come up with.

-I told a first grader yesterday she giggled, looked at me upside down, giggled, tickled my belly, then drew a prego fish on her paper.

Right now my belly feels huge. My shirt keeps popping up.

Babyroom/weather part two.

So all the snow melted and a few weeks ago there was so much melted snow that it caused the creek to turn into a river and a waterfall to develop. (Normally the creek is about as wide as my arm.)All these pictures were taken with my very fancy new camera!!!! I'm stoked to actually learn how to use it so I can take awesome pictures in Hawaii!

And now here are the latest baby room pictures:

This is a picture of the tree. Once the frames go on a good sale I'm going to buy about 8-10 frames to put family photos hanging on the tree branches. Eventually the crib will go in this corner also and I'm going to make a birdy mobile to hang above it.

I also painted extra leaves blowing around the room. Here will will eventually put the dresser that I'm stealing from my dad's house in a few weeks. Above it we will hang a photo box that is holding There is a Monster at the end of this book written by Grover. On the other wall I'm going to hang three small paintings of an owl, deer, and a bunny.

And now for my funny kid quote of the day.
Today we were playing the speed game...the kids race to read a stack of cards in under one minute. One of the cards was stream. My student sounded it out like this:
str...stram...strip...STRIPPER!
I corrected him to say no it says stream, say that, Stream.
Stripper!
The rest of the game no matter how much correcting he couldn't get it changed in his brain and just kept saying stripper. It was hilarious.

Bottom 10 Movies of 2008

I am doing a mish mash for my bottom 10, 10-6 are terrible movies I didn't see, and 5-1 are movies that were not necessarily the worst of the year but my biggest disappointments.

#10- Beverly Hills Chihuahua - This movie looked sooo terrible, then it made 92 million dollars. There are a lot of dumb movie goers.

#9- Mad Money - As soon as I looked at the poster, I vomited.
Exhibit A:

#8- Bangkok Dangerous - I think Nicholas Cage should be arrested for his hair in this movie.

#7- Meet Dave - Oh Eddie Murphy, do you know how to say no to a movie offer anymore?

#6- Meet the Spartans/Superhero Movie/Disaster Movie - Who decided that spoof movies aren't supposed to be funny anymore? If Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer ever make a movie again I will be very surprised.

#5- Smart People - This looked like it would be much funnier and more clever than it actually was.

#4- Leatherheads - The premise seemed interesting and clever, but the movie was just boring. I am a fan of George Clooney and John Krasinski, it just didn't live up to my expectations.

#3- Semi-Pro - I love Will Ferrell comedies, but this movie was just not very funny and disappointing. The Old Spice commercials were funnier than the movie.

#2- Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - Seriously, Shia Labeouf is not tarzan, he does not swing on vines with monkeys. Totally ruined the movie for me, which was sad since I had this movie pegged as the top grosser of the summer (I didn't think TDK would break 350 mil.)

#1- Cloverfield - This really has nothing to do with the quality of the movie, I love Godzilla-type movies. But I could not watch the movie and just laid there with my head in Molly's lap for most of the movie. If I can't watch the awesome monster smashing, it makes the bottom of the list.

Top Ten Movies Of 2008

EDIT: I saw Curious Case of Benjamin Button today, and if I were to redo the list, it would likely be 2b. It is very hard to place, but it is totally top 3.

#10 Role Models - I love Paul Rudd. I wasn't sure I wanted to see the movie until I heard that Paul Rudd came onboard and did a ton of rewrites and deserved a writing credit on the movie. It was hilarious.

#9 Step Brothers - This movie made me giggle with glee. I love the Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly combo, plus it brought back awesome memories of my childhood with my brother. Like when they reconfigure their room to bunk beds, it was something I could see Mike and I doing.

#8 Forgetting Sarah Marshall - This movie makes the list if for nothing besides the Dracula Rock Opera. But the rest of the movie is hilarious also. I am a big Jason Segel fan. All the supporting actors were great in this movie too, except for Jonah Hill, his character was obnoxious.

#7 Wall-E - One of my favorite Pixar movies, and easily the best animated movie of the year.

#6 Incredible Hulk - I love Ed Norton and comic book movies. Easy peasy. Hulk had disappointing box office numbers but it was the bad taste from the previous Hulk movie rather than on the merits of this one.

#5 Iron Man - Robert Downey Jr. was a fantastic choice for Tony Stark. It had great action, it was funny, and very well written. A fantastic summer blockbuster.

#4 In Bruges - I really liked this movie, it started out quite lighthearted as an assassin was stuck in Bruges waiting for his boss to give them the go ahead to leave. About 3/4 the way in it takes a much darker turn and gave the movie much more depth. The best Colin Farrell movie in a loooong time.

#3 RocknRolla - Guy Ritchie made two great movies (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrells, and Snatch) then married Madonna. Forgot how to make good movies (Swept Away) now seperated/divorced makes another fantastic London underground crime movie. This only got moved down from #2 because of how awesome Slumdog was.

#2 Slumdog Millionaire - Danny Boyle is amazing. The story was really well written, the directing was awesome, and the actors were also quite impressive.

#1 Dark Knight - How could it not be #1?

Movies I didn't see but could have been on the list:The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Wrestler, Gran Torino, Rachel Getting Married, probably all those other movies on other peoples lists.
